Hey everyone! I’m looking to breathe some new life into my older thick gaming rig, and I desperately need more storage space. I’ve been researching laptop hard drives online, but the sheer number of brands and specifications out there is getting a bit overwhelming. I mostly use this machine for storing massive video archives, some old school emulation, and general backups, so I don’t necessarily need blazing-fast NVMe speeds—just reliable, high-capacity, and affordable bulk space. When it comes to mechanical or hybrid laptop hard drives, which brands are currently ruling the market in terms of longevity? I’ve had my eye on Seagate and Western Digital, but I’m open to any solid recommendations. Also, does anyone have a specific model suggestion for a 2TB drive that won’t break the bank? I want to make sure I don’t accidentally buy something prone to early failure. What are your top suggestions for reliable laptop hard drives this year? Thanks in advance for the help!
